An unplanned final entry in to the Iclone Lip Sync Contest.
I learned a few lessons in my other two entries, and with time being short, I decided to have a go at implementing what I'd learned. I had to work pretty much flat out for several days and was working literally into the last hour before the deadline for entries.
Stage one was to create the character. I had chosen to use Michael Buble's cover of "Feeling Good" so I wanted to design a charceter that fit that theme. I decided to jump into Marvelous Designer and create a suit, something that would hopefully compliment the high quality of the Metahuman I had created.
While the creation of the suit and the texturing went fine, My challenges began when I finished applying it to my avatar body and wanted to take it into Unreal Engine. I had a lot of problems and had to do a lot of reworking to the clothing mesh to get it looking good in Unreal. It was my first time with this particular workflow.
After a long slog I got the character in and began working on the lip-sync. Acculips really did speed up the time needed and given the fact I had been delayed and was fast running out of time, ironically it was Acculips that saved me the time I needed to get finished!
